I’ve just looked at the screenshots for Peppermint 5. What can I say? They’re astounding. Simply elegant.
However, most of all, I could use it without any problems. Best of all I could see the off button, whereas it took a while with Windows 8. My first computer was a TRS. 80 in 1978. I’m a user of Office and used to use Sage 50 Accounts, before I retired.

    Hi there.
I am trying out Peppermint now for a couple of days and as far as I can see it works really good.

    There is one exception:
I installed with LVM encryption to have my data protected.
But when the computer awakes from STANDBY mode, it does not ask for the password phrase.
For people needing encryption this is an important mistake.

I am from Germany, so I apologize for making mistakes in spelling and grammar.

    Sincerely
    Karl
