Hello Peppermint Community,
We’re beginning the process of moving the Peppermint OS project to a new web host over the coming weeks. We haven’t yet set an official date for this move but wanted to let you know what to expect.
- Once the process begins our Community Forum will be locked to new posts and replies
- This could be as little as few hours or as much as a few days
- All our servers may be offline for days at a time. This includes…
- forum.peppermintos.com (The Peppermint Community Forum)
- peppermintos.com (This website)
- start.peppermintos (Our Duck Duck Go search page)
- peppermintos.net (Our pre-2014 archived forum)
- peppermintos.info (Our redirect page to peppermintos.com)
We are planning for a clean switch, however, downtime should be expected. This post will be updated when a date becomes available.
Thanks for your patience,
Joseph Dickson

Hi Skn,
We’re in the middle of a server migration. It will be down until we build the replacement page.
I haven’t been able to get the verification e-mail for the forums (initial, and asking for another verification), it is not in my spam folder. Is this an on-going issue?
Hi Jay, Our email notifications have been down the last few days following the migration. I hope to have it fixed by this weekend.
Hi there Admin,
I can’t login because the forum says I am a spammer. I am new to Linux and I need the communitie’s support. Please can you allow access. I don’t know how to spam or as what the error means when it says the following :
Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
Indian spammer / SEO in profile
This ban is not set to expire.
I was awaiting a reply from a post I made in the forum. Is this because of the server downtime? My username was hellbraker.
Hi Sanju,
I believe the moderators have restored your account give it another try.
More importantly, I’m genuinely sorry about that offensive response. I’ll have a chat with the moderators about the that reply. It is not acceptable under any circumstances and doesn’t reflect our own community values.
Hello PM
I have been trying to download PM 8 or 9 32bit to use on an older notebook machine but none of the links seam to work. Is this as a result of your server migration?
I have installed PM 10 on a Dell and a Compac without any issues; however this machine needed to force PAE when I installed Mint 18.1 and Mint 19 would not load, hence looking at an older iteration of PM for this machine.
Hi Clive, I’d suggest downloading Peppermint 10 Respin as its our latest version. https://peppermintos.com/guide/downloading/

Hi Voron68, we’re still in the development phase of Peppermint 11. Once we start beta testing I’ll post an update to this blog.
