I have try so many linux disro such as pop os, ubuntu, manjaro, mx linux etc but speed given by that distros was almost same like windows. I want high speed and guys if you want high speed i’m dammn sure you should switch to peppermint 10.
Peppermint 10 is solid high speed os, after installing peppermint os my performance has improved. I can smoothly use heavy application like pycharm, Android Studio.I have i3 with 8GB RAM system when i was use windows it take 2-3 minutes to open android studio now it take around 15 seconds.
Thank you so much Peppermint os team i always support you. and currently i’m pursuing MCA but i promise you when i get a job i will Donate to Peppermintos.

Having issues with the current .ISO file. I’ve attempted to install Peppermint OS on four different computers using for different USBs, I get the same error every time…is it possible that the current ISO posted is corrupted? I should note that I was able to install Ubuntu, Debian, and OpenSuse on those other computers. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Really impressed with Peppermint from P3 to P10. Only criticisms are the double click speed required is too brief and file manager sometimes crashes (completely disappears). Apart from those, well done guys!

Those settings can be changed. Visit our forums and we can help you find those settings.

It’s likely your ISP’s domain or IP range triggered the ban. please email me directly at peppermint_admin@pm.me with the “Share this Report” url from https://www.whoismyisp.org/ and that will help me isolate the ban trigger.

Great writeup by Distrowatch! Their experience of installation and first use matched my own. I’m a MS Windows “combat veteran” if you will, and appreciate the minimal learning curve for Peppermint OS 10. I agree with Distrowatch that the tabbed settings panel is a nice touch, and it was easy to navigate when I started adding the many peripherals required for telecommuting. The Ice tool and Office menu of Microsoft Office SSB tools is really helpful. Alas, one of my few frustrations with Peppermint OS is the Pixlr SSB links are outdated.

Peppermint OS has one beneficial feature that Distrowatch didn’t cover, namely the ability to side-load packages. Zoom, Citrix, BlueJeans and others make their client available as 64-bit DEB packages which are easily installed using GDebi Package Installer. I couldn’t work from home without them!

Hi there. I´m a regular user of peppermint distros since 6. Unfortunately i lost all the previous releases and for some reason the team deleted them from the website. Therefore i ask if you can provide with an external link or put them back on both 64 and 86 versions. I would really apreciate it. Continue the good work, already using 10. Perhaps one day people will begin to use more linux systems instead of windows, and replace it for a true complete OS like Peppermint. ;)

My laptop is the poorest thing on earth and no other distros run on it smoothly and quickly, except this peppermint. I don’t know what magic the peppermint developers used to make it so light yet very fast. I am very happy with it. Thanks a lot for this awesome gift for free!

I have found that using “pcmanfm –desktop” instead of nemo makes the desktop load faster when logged in on weak computers.

I bought a used Chromebook on eBay which has the peppermintos.com/distrowatch-review as opening page. My peppermint 9 on a Dell and Peppermint 10 on a Lenovo went unused during the pandemic and I have to remember the passwords to get them running again.

Peppermint is a favorite Distro of mine! the installer is still bugged after 4 years, and the devs still deny it despite the thousands of bug reports! But, Mint uses 7 gigs of ram, while Peppermint uses 1.3 gigs of ram! This OS is super snappy and runs the Kali tools like a monster. Why have Kali when you can have all the tools on Peppermint. It is stable and fast as hell!

This is interesting what bugs are you talking about with the installer? Are you talking about only pep10?
