We are very happy to announce the release of Peppermint OS Flagship based on Debian trixie, the flagship Peppermint OS is a XFCE desktop that lets you choose the applications you need. This keeps your system efficient and uncluttered. It is 64-bit based on Debian (trixie), featuring the familiar Peppermint experience with only the essentials pre-installed. The ISO can be downloaded from here
Note: The team has not yet decided if we will continue with the 32 bit, Debian will keep the 32 bit packages, this means that we could still compile, 32bit ISOs knowing the packages will be there for use.
To see what has changed the BuildDate log is here
From the team we would like to thank you all for your continued support and contributions, and thank you! to the Peppermint OS community!

Me gusta su trabajo, gracias
Thank you so much for your kind words
Many congratulations folks on the new release, ive only just installed the bookworm version, had issues with install but got it working. I will update to Trixie repos in a few months time.
It’s always a breeze in the air to have Peppermint OS around, thanks for providing the simple, lightweight OS that we need.
Thank your for your kind words!
Is it possible to upgrade from PeppermintOS Bookworm-based to Trixie-based without fresh install?
You can use the same steps that are used fro a Debian upgrade

Peppermint is an awesome Distro. Can’t wait to update my version to the latest build.
1. So is the Btrfs option available in Calamares now?
2. Why does Distrowatch say that only ext4 and XFS are available with Journaling?
Yes we do include btrfs in the installer.,
As for Distrowatch, we can’t really explain for them you would need to content them.
What are the chances for a DEVUAN release ?
10% – 50% – 70% – better ?
Thanks
There will be a Devuan, just waiting for their new release first, then we can do your part.
